Middle School High School College Entering Your Profession

Welcome Teachers

The builders of this site are themselves teachers, career counselors, and parents. So we feel a certain comradery with you. This document is to assist you in navigating your portion of the website, though you are certainly welcome to visit the Student, Counselor, and Parent resources as well.

First when you click on Teachers you will find 3 buttons which reflect the level of students you may be working with: Middle School, High School, or College. Our general approach is the same regardless of level. We want each student to study themselves first (as students and potential professionals), then explore the world of work (STEM occupational information), and eventually commit to a program of study or profession. So, when you click on the level that works for you, you will find three buttons that we have prepared to support you.

Teacher Tips is chock full of online, television, printed, and interactive resources to better educate students regarding STEM careers and STEM academic content. You have study guides, curriculum plans, classroom activities, and motivational tools. There is no particular sequence to this compendium. Just cruise around and experiment with these carefully screened power tools.

The STEM Exploration button has a variety of high quality online information resources specific to careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics. Each is customized to level of education. These are for your edification and that of your students. MIND Alliance students are encouraged to first broaden the range of opportunities considered, and then narrow their focus based upon their assessments and your excellent guidance. We know we can count on you to raise expectations. Keep in mind they will also be consulting other teachers, parents, counselors, mentors and key worker contacts along the way. It's a team effort.

All students in the MIND Alliance Project have disabilities, and so we have provided you with a button (far right) regarding Disability Resources that provide you with lots of backup in this respect: institutional, state, and national resources. Feel free to call utilize these resources should you need information about classroom accommodations, legal rights and responsibilities, or related matters.
